Business Description

Angel House Heritage Inn was built in 1879 for the Angel family, owners of one of the first iron foundries in St. John’s. A provincially registered property, the Inn is set back from the road on an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds. These include a formal garden, extensive lawns, herb and vegetable gardens, stone retaining walls, mature trees and flowering shrubs. Guest rooms have the amenities of a five-star hotel, yet offer the privacy and comfort of a country home within the heart of St. John’s. Additional downtown accommodation in a separate heritage property is available. Furnished with French antiques, this two-bedroom, three-story property is ideal for two couples. The original carriage house is now Angel House Antiques, devoted to late-19th and early-20th-century china, clocks, historical art and silver.
Through their interests in antiques, history and heritage properties, present co-owners Russell and Patricia bring much to any stay.
